“We are far more capable than we realize—our only limits are the ones we create in our minds” Florina Minzat, CTO & Co-founder at EcothermiQ

Nominated by Florencia Rodriguez.

What is the best advice someone has ever given you

Embrace your authenticity and never force yourself into spaces where you don’t belong. Being your true self can be scary, but you are not defined by others’ opinions. The right people will see you, celebrate you, and accept you as you are—so never change to please the wrong ones.

What advice would you give us?

Humans thrive through service and helping one another. Whatever you do, pour your heart into it—unapologetically!

An essential quality to lead…

Gratitude, kindness and resilience – gratitude cultivates a positive mindset, kindness connects us to our shared humanity, and resilience fuels us to keep going, despite obstacles and hardships.

What book, podcast, YouTube channel or any other type of content do you recommend us…

The let them theory by Mel Robbins (book).

What historical figure would you like to have on your team?

None, haha! Historical figures are often controversial in their time, but celebrated and admired later for their great achievements. I choose to celebrate the people on our team now – for their unique talents, raw passion, and the impact they are already making.

Have you always been clear about your professional objective?

For a very long time I thought I was. Until I realised that the things I wanted most from my career were not genuinely fulfilling (status, money, big corporates). It took trial and error to get here. I’ve learned that setting goals/objectives is crucial – it is that sweet spot where discipline and consistency high-five each other. But to truly enjoy the journey, you must let go of rigid expectations and embrace the beauty of the unknown.

What is the bravest decision you have made in our life?

To keep believing in myself even when the world seemed to have given up on me. We are far more capable than we realize—our only limits are the ones we create in our minds.

What is the most curious app you have on your mobile?

Sound & Soulful – an app with subliminals which I am currently listening to, haha.

What do people assume about you, and that isn’t true?

Some people have admitted that they didn’t take me seriously at first. I’m not sure why—maybe because I’m unconventional. But I’m not here to convince anyone of who I am—I know who I am, and that’s enough. In fact, I appreciate it when someone tells me they misjudged me at first, only to later realize just how serious I am.

What do you think will be the next revolution in your sector/industry?

I believe climate tech is moving toward a fusion of hardware and software. To drive meaningful impact and build a sustainable future, we need innovative hardware powered by advanced technology. But true change also requires governments and policymakers to actively support the green transition if we’re serious about reaching net-zero targets.

What do you admire and do not tolerate in a person?
I admire bold individuals who dare to be different, challenge the status quo, and lead with integrity. But I have no tolerance for greed, self-loathing or ungratefulness.

Which three top managers would you like to nominate?

Monica Felicio Fragoso, CPO & Co-founder at Shifted.

Anna Kim To-Schmidt, CCO & Co-founder at Rebase Green.

Cathy-Liis Põlluveer, CEO & Co-founder at NAVE TECH.
