“When you have confidence in your abilities, it becomes much easier to push through challenges and setbacks” David Palacios, Founder & CEO at InvolvCare Innovations
Nominated by Gabriel Galván.
What is the best advice someone has ever given you?
The best advice I ever received was from my father. He used to say: “you have to be best on what you do, believe in yourself and get prepared”.
What advice would you give us?
My advice is simple: believe in yourself and stay committed to your purpose. When you have confidence in your abilities and a clear sense of direction, it becomes much easier to push through challenges and setbacks. Your purpose acts like a compass, helping you navigate difficult decisions and stay focused on what truly matters. Keep persisting and let your purpose shape your future. It’s that combination of self-belief and purpose-driven action that leads to long-term success and fulfillment.
An essential quality to lead…
Share a clear vision to engage and inspire others about the purpose (the why), being proactive building trusted relationships and developing people.
What book, podcast, YouTube channel or any other type of content do you recommend us…
I highly recommend anything by Simon Sinek, whether it’s his TED Talks, books, or podcasts. His content focuses on leadership, purpose, and what it means to inspire others. His ideas are not only thought-provoking but also highly actionable, making them valuable for anyone looking to lead with intention and vision.
What historical figure would you like to have on your team?
If I could have any historical figure on my team, it would be Nelson Mandela. His leadership, resilience, and unwavering commitment to justice and equality are qualities that would be invaluable to any team. Mandela had an incredible ability to unite people, even in the face of adversity, and his vision for a better future inspired millions.
Have you always been clear about your professional objective?
Most of the time I knew what I wanted to be, “best possible on what I do” and I was discovering my path along the way, meanwhile I was achieving my purpose. As I progressed in my career, I discovered more about my strengths, interests, and opportunities. It’s been a journey of growth and learning, but my commitment to excellence has always guided me.
What is the bravest decision you have made in our life?
The bravest decision I made was resigning from a stable job in 1995 to join an entrepreneurial project with foreign partners. It was a leap out of my comfort zone that opened up new opportunities and significantly shaped my career.
What is the most curious app you have on your mobile?
LinkedIn, not sure it is the most curious app, but is the one connecting me with my professional world.
What do people assume about you, and that isn’t true?
Maybe that I’m too demanding, when in my mind, I just expect people to be accountable. I believe in setting clear expectations and holding people to them, my intention is to ensure that everyone is responsible and committed.
What do you think will be the next revolution in your sector/industry?
I believe the next big revolution in the industry will be driven by Digital Health and AI. These technologies have the potential to transform how we approach healthcare, making it more personalized and efficient. However, this shift will need extensive collaboration to fully realize its benefits and address complex challenges.
What do you admire and do not tolerate in a person?
I admire creativity and proactivity, especially when they’re driven by a clear purpose. These qualities show initiative and a forward-thinking approach, which are essential for innovation and progress. On the other hand, I have no tolerance for dishonesty. Integrity is crucial for building trust and maintaining strong, respectful relationships, and dishonesty undermines those values.
