What is the best advice someone has ever given you?

“Push your head through the hole and the body will follow”.

What advice would you give us?

Same as before but better explained: In life, opportunities often present themselves as narrow, unconventional openings, comparable to a small hole in the wall.

At first glance, these opportunities may seem daunting or impossible to navigate, but they are precisely the moments that demand courage and initiative. When you encounter such opportunities, it’s essential to lead with vision and determination, much like pushing your head through that hole.

Once you commit mentally and take the first step, everything else will fall into place. Your energy, resources, and skills will follow naturally, enabling you to navigate challenges that seemed insurmountable at first. Success often begins with the willingness to start, even when the path ahead is unclear.

An essential quality to lead…

Adaptability is not merely a desirable trait for a leader; it is an essential one. In today’s fast-paced, ever-evolving business landscape, the ability to pivot, adjust strategies, and embrace change is critical to long-term success. However, a truly effective leader goes beyond simply being adaptable themselves—they must also cultivate this quality in others. This involves not only teaching adaptability as a skill but also creating an environment where flexibility is valued and encouraged.

A leader must demonstrate how adaptability can unlock creativity, innovation, and resilience in the face of uncertainty. By embodying this mindset and actively influencing their teams to embrace change, they empower others to navigate challenges with confidence.

A leader’s role, then, extends from being an example of adaptability to being a catalyst for it within the organization, ensuring that the entire team is prepared to evolve and thrive in shifting circumstances.

What book, podcast, YouTube channel or any other type of content do you recommend us…

Jay Shetty is one of my favorites, JaiberP (Spanish channel).

What historical figure would you like to have on your team?

Someone like Thomas Edison, I love creativity and ingenuity and he was known for his perseverance, innovation, and practical problem-solving. His ability to transform ideas into marketable products and build entire industries around them something very valuable that will transcend in business no matter the times.

Have you always been clear about your professional goal?

Absolutely. From a young age, I became aware of the evolving nature of perspective. As time passes and you reflect on past challenges, what once seemed to great to achieve often appears far less daunting in hindsight.

This realization taught me a crucial lesson early on: many of the limits we perceive are self-imposed and temporary. With that understanding, I made it a point to consistently set high targets for myself, knowing that what might feel out of reach today will likely seem more attainable tomorrow.

This mindset has driven me to pursue ambitious goals throughout my life and career. It’s not just about striving for more. It’s about recognizing that growth happens when you push beyond what you think is possible. By constantly challenging myself to aim higher, I’ve been able to achieve things that once seemed unattainable, and this approach has allowed me to adapt, learn, and thrive in both personal and professional endeavors.

High targets aren’t about perfection; they’re about progress, and each step brings new clarity and confidence in what’s possible.

What is the most curious app you have on your cell phone?

Don’t have one. I try at all cost to have the least apps as possible. I am not sure why but probably because I find them distracting. But if I have to choose one, I enjoy fitness apps.

What do people assume about you that isn’t true?

People often assume that I am difficult to please, likely due to the fact that I hold high standards in various aspects of my life. However, this doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate simplicity or things that are straight forward and uncomplicated.

What do you admire and do not tolerate in a person?

Honesty, for me, is the most valued trait in any person. It defines what it means to be a well-rounded individual. Being truthful in one’s beliefs, emotions, and treatment of others is the only way to genuinely express one’s true essence. Conversely, I find it challenging to accept dishonesty in my life.”

What do you think will be the next revolution in your industry?

Virtual home touring and buying is an approach I personally don’t fully believe in, but there’s no doubt it will revolutionize the way we navigate real estate transactions in the future.

What is the bravest decision you have made in your life?

One of the most challenging experiences I’ve had was going through a divorce. It was incredibly difficult at the time, but, it ultimately led to important personal growth and therefore professional growth and maturity on how to approach difficult situations.

Which top managers would you like to nominate?

Jaiber Pérez, International speaker and financial advisor.

Thomas Posada, Entrepreneur and Content Creator.

María Luisa Zapata, Director of International Relations at COMFAMA.
